A real privilege to cover this year’s Memorial Day at Cambridge American Cemetery, photographing the ceremony and the rededication of the newly refurbished Visitor Center. The morning brought speeches, military honours, a gun salute, and a flypast overhead, before the ribbon was cut to unveil the new exhibits inside. Among those in attendance were United States Ambassador to the United Kingdom Warren Stephens, Commissioner John Freeman of the American Battle Monuments Commission, Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire Mrs Julie Spence, and Major General Akshai Gandhi. You can see the official ABMC coverage of the day here.
