Natural light produces a contemporary, editorial look that studio strobes can't replicate. It creates natural skin tones, genuine depth, and images that feel like the person rather than a corporate cutout. It also means no heavy equipment to set up in your office and no harsh shadows on your face. The result is a headshot that works on LinkedIn, your website, and in print without looking like it was taken in a studio in 2005.

Natural light doesn't mean sunshine. Overcast days actually produce some of the best headshot lighting because the clouds act as a giant diffuser, creating even, flattering light with no harsh shadows. If we're shooting indoors, weather doesn't matter at all. I'll position you near windows or in well-lit areas of your workspace.
Every shot that meets my standard, professionally edited and delivered. For individual sessions that's typically 10 to 15 final images. For team sessions, each person receives a selection of their best shots. No per-image charges, full usage rights on everything.
Yes. For team sessions I maintain the same lighting approach, framing, and editing style across every portrait so they sit together cleanly on your website or company materials. Even though I use natural light rather than a controlled studio setup, consistency across a team is straightforward because I'm controlling the position, the angle, and the edit.
Whatever you'd normally wear to work or want to be seen in professionally. Solid colours tend to photograph best. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, and bright white, which can reflect light and wash out in natural light conditions. If you're unsure, send me a photo of a couple of options and I'll tell you which will work best.
I'm based in Cambridge and cover headshot sessions across the whole city and the surrounding region, including Ely, Newmarket, Huntingdon, St Neots, Royston, Saffron Walden, Haverhill, Bury St Edmunds, Bedford, Biggleswade, Letchworth, Stevenage, Luton, St Albans, and Thetford. Travel is included within 20 miles of Cambridge. Further afield, a small travel charge may apply and I'll always confirm this upfront.
