Hey pet parents! I’m Richard, your local pet photographer here in Cambridge. I want to share some tips on taking great photos that capture the special bond between pets and their owners.
Our pets are like family. The relationships we have with them are filled with love, fun times, and lots of cuddles. As a pet photographer, I aim to take photos that let you look back fondly on those memories for many years. Just see my pet portfolio.
My goal is to take photos that reveal your pet’s unique personality and your connection. From a loyal lab’s loving look to a kitty’s playful nature, the photos should make you smile every time you see them.
Here are some practical tips I use to get great shots:
- Make sure your pet is comfortable! Bring out treats, and toys and be patient so they feel relaxed and ready for photos.
- Understand what your pet is like and when they tend to be most energetic or relaxed. Use those moments to your advantage.
- Let your pet take the lead when they seem playful or sleepy to get natural, unposed shots.
- Use natural light as much as possible to make your pet’s colours and eyes vibrant.
With this approach, you can get sweet portraits and fun candid shots. Here are some examples:
The Playful Pup
There was Riley, the energetic puppy whose joy was clear as he ran after his human sister. You could see his playful personality.
The Senior Dog
Sweet senior Toddy was so gentle and calm. We took it slowly and got beautiful, peaceful shots.
The Curious Cat
Silly Milo the cat kept me adaptable! But with patience (and treats), I captured his curiosity and sassiness.
Pet photography lets you treasure special times with your fuzzy family members. As a Cambridge pet photographer, I love seeing these heartwarming bonds. If you want to capture some memorable pet photos, contact me! Let’s tell your pet’s story through pictures.
